I just noticed that the inline editor for mimetype text/plain silently removes all trailing whitespace from a file, including any terminating space and/or linefeed on the last non-empty line. Update: I just noticed that inline editing a text/plain file also removes all leading whitespace. This can actually destroy the visible formatting since any indentation on the first line is removed.

Is there some way to disable this behavior?
