I know Share doesn't have this, however was recently approached to see if we could possibly use Alfresco as a realtime document collaboration environment. Basically would like the ability to edit either a Word type document or an Excel type spreadsheet realtime while other people edit it and see the updates. I think it's a bandwidth nightmare even if it does work, however any thoughts in Alfresco Share or any add-ons that could accomplish this? Always trying to push doing things thru Share in order to maximize it's value to the users instead of going with an additional external tool.

Thanks.

JR

It would most likely, however I always had a problem with google docs that it doesn't work behind a proxy. I read about it potentially working in 3.4b which I am on, however doesn't seem to still work. Or should clarify something to do with supporting proxies was done but not sure what or how it works. I am on OpenSUSE by the way.

Thanks.

JR
