Switching to Alfresco Share: Questions

Hello everyone!This is my first post in Alfresco forums! In my company we are using Microsoft SharePoint for our collaboration platform. But we want to get rid of the "Microsoft Stack" and we are looking for alternatives.I had a look at the Trial version of Alfresco Share Enterprise and I can say

*** Yes Eclipse is probably your first choice, however there are other good choices like NetBeans or IntelliJ.   And you may need the usual web tools.

*** Java is the main programming language for Alfresco Development. Right?
Yes, the alfresco server is built in Java.   However Share in particular is not, It's a Freemarker and Java Script thing.

*** The functionality I saw in the Alfresco SHARE enterprise trial is provided out of the box in the community edition?
Yes. Probably.   There's a small amount of "Enterprise Only" functionality, mainly around administration.

I'll leave others to describe share development. I'ts not something I know about :mrgreen:
