Hello,

as I have not done any implementation with the current RM module, I can not provide any information on any technical perspectives. Legal perspectives should better be answered by someone with the necessary legal background. I just wanted to make you aware of the fact that the RM module is currently being refactored for a major 2.0 version, which is aimed to better support different standards than just DoD 5015.2. So you may find that once 2.0 is releaed, your requirements are better met out of the box, or additional implementation effort is greatly reduced.

unfortunately, my latest information is just "soon". My guess would be that we can expect it anywhere from now until early september. In october the DMS Expo is scheduled in Stuttgart Germany with Alfresco attending, and from a marketing perspective, this would be a major event to miss if RM 2.0 would not be released by then.

About the legal value… Moreq is a specification that consists of a formal requirements specification for a generic electronic records management system and it is intended for use across the European Union..

Our regulations are based on Moreq2 and sadly Alfresco RM is not fully Moreq2 compliant by it self. The biggest obstacle is the lack of digital signatures but there are also few smaller issues. Some of those should solve the new version of RM, other you will have to implement by your own.

Hi,

RM 2.0 was released on Friday 27th July.

Hopefully it's increased flexibility and configuration hook points will make it easier for people to extend and satisfy the various different requirements for record keeping in different locales.
