helloi used the backup and restore functions i found on internet but i am not able to migrate my sites from my dev server to my production server, is there an easy way to get the sites moved? i am using alfresco 4.0

By "sites" I'll assume you mean Share sites. Have you tried exporting the sites as ACP files and then importing them into your new server?

Hi,

I need to migrate Share site's data which has around 2 Lacs of contents from Staging to Production Server. Will Export-Import ACP work? Or Is there any other ways to achieve this?

Working Environment: Alfrseco 3.4.3, MySQL 5.1.51 and Tomcat 6.0.29.

I'm not familiar with that unit of measure, but if you have more than a few hundred objects, I'd be hesitant about using ACP. That's my personal preference–I'm sure there are people who have moved very large ACP's.

Your other alternatives are to do a dump and load on the database and the content store or to use the transfer service to move the nodes.
