Looks like problem with the database.
But better go for fresh installation if possible, as it will be difficult to find the actual cause resolve.

Hi,

If you are considering to go with new installation, do the backup of existing data first (http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Backup_and_Restore). You need to backup both the database and the repository. Then you can restore your data on new instance. But be careful which version of Alfresco you are going to install because database schema is not the same for all Alfresco versions.
