Bulk content migration

I need to migrate a large amount of content from one windows Alfresco 3.2r repo to a new ubuntu Alfresco 3.4.5 repo and I'm looking for options/recommendations. I'm not migrating the entire repository though.I've read about Open Migrate and the Bulk File System Import Tool (BFSIT) and ACPs.I think

Do you think about the Talend option ?
I used it for a big customer with very good results.

Could you please let me know what is Talend option? Kindly elaborate more on it.

I have a requirement of copying data from one alfresco repository to another where in I can not use ACP.

We did a similar migration from one Alfresco repository to another by combining the features of OpenMigrate and Alfresco Bulk Import Tool as mentioned in the below link. OpenMigrate comes with an Alfresco Source adapter that can be embedded within the source Alfresco instance as a subsytem. You can also run the migration as a scheduled job.
