Hi,we tried to integrate the IBM Generic Viewer into OpenWorkdesk => this works basically fine, but the viewer enables annotations for users even if they do not have the privilege required to update annotations. We annotated a document and tried to save it but were unable to. The annotation icons

Please note that annotations are not supported in CMIS at the moment. WeWebU has prepared and submitted a proposal to the CMIS TC https://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/CMIS-722 . The proposal is a candidate for CMIS 2.0. If you need annotations earlier, WeWebU can provide a so called CMIS extension based on the proposal as a (paid) project solution.

Having said this I want to add that popeye's question refers to OpenWorkdesk Enterprise Edition and the native adapter to CM8.

There was a problem with the IBM ClientModifyAnnotation privilege and Generic Viewer…

The SAVE icon is now part of the Annotation Toolbar (the bar on the left side) which will be hidden if the user doesn’t have the ClientModifyAnnotation privilege. We will perform now a check for the ClientModifyAnnotation privilege to show/hide the SAVE button.

This update/fix will be available in the OpenWorkdesk 3.2.0.1 Final Fixpack and also in OpenWorkdesk 4.0.0.0 Sprint X and Final.

Recently, I have beening working on <a href="http://www.rasteredge.com/how-to/vb-net-imaging/pdf-annotating/">pdf annotation</a> sdk within visual basic.net application. I can use the annotation methods to add and draw annotation object in any supportable shape on pdf document page. Now, here is the question, how can I merge the created annotation object on pdf page layer to better view it?
