I don't think it can be done through CMIS, but there is a web service API for creating and manipulating user accounts. Check the following URL on your Alfresco instance:

http://localhost:8080/alfresco/service/index/package/org/alfresco/repository/person

This web script package contains calls for adding / updating / deleting single user accounts, as well as batch user creation via uploading a CSV.

create a user?

I'm cringing here thinking I know the answer, but I'll ask anyway…Any way to create a user via CMIS (again Apache Chemistry - Java)? Even if the user is created "disabled" or something, but any way to programatically build-up the user-object so that an admin just needs to QA it and enable it?If not
