If you are trying to make a decision based on a property of the workflow item's parent, you need to specify what that property is. So it would look more like:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;PRE class="language-none line-numbers"&gt;&lt;CODE&gt;bpm_package.children[0].parent.properties['cm:name'] == 'Tutor'&lt;SPAN class="line-numbers-rows"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;‍&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/CODE&gt;&lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Or something like that.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You might find this &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://ecmarchitect.com/images/articles/alfresco-workflow/advanced-workflow-article.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;workflow tutorial&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; helpful.
