    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Figured out my issue. This will probably be totally obvious to those of you used to Linux, but I am still a beginner.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;After reviewing the log files I realized that when Alfresco/Tomcat was starting it was not able to resolve it's own hostname (in my case alfresco.localdomain). In order to resolve the issue I added a new line in the host file pointing 127.0.0.1 to alfresco.localdomain. I then started the services and everything worked as expected.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I realize this is an amateur mistake, but hopefully if any other noobies run into the same issue this will help them out.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
