Errors getting svn build running on Mac, Innodb issue

Using STS 2.6.0.M1 on Mac OS X 10.6.6. Was able to build and deploy to integrated SpringSource tc Server DE, but can't get logged into Share, and Alfresco UI not available.MySQL tables are created (finally got that working), but I get this insert error in the logs:15:14:40,289 INFO [management.su

Pointed my db to another server, MySQL 5.1.36 running on a linux machine, and things run fine now. Apparently something quirky with Mac and MySQL (a battle for another day).

Another problem I found while figuring that out was that the shared folder for SpringSource tc Server Developer Edition does not exist in the default instance (spring-insight-instance). The root of the tc SDE contains a shared folder, but placing my alfresco-global.properties file there, at {root}/shared/classes/alfresco/extension did not get it picked up by the app. Creating a shared folder in spring-insight-instance folder, and placing the file on that same path, also did not get it picked up by the app. I eventually (to get it running) had to place alfresco-global.properties at spring-insight-instance/webapp/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/ and, viola, I can log into my local alfresco app.

I apparently need to research the tc SDE and its instances, if anyone has any comments or suggestions, I'd appreciate the help

You put the alfresco-global.properties in the wrong place.

DOH! I sure did, thanks.

Unfortunately, placing at {tc-install}/shared/classes and also trying at {tc-install}/spring-insight-instance/shared/classes didn't get picked up by alfresco.

still have foreign key constraint insert issue, started dinking directly with the mysql in Mac, it is definitely a mac/mysql innodb issue. If I find anything that relates to alfresco, I'll report back, but for now switching to windows.

Try upgrading MySQL to 5.5 or stopping then restarting it before trying to start Alfresco. It's a problem in MySQL 5.1.

I also ran into an issue with a similar error message on my Mac and there to it was solved by upgrading my MySQL. Im my case it was from 5.5.11 to 5.5.21
