Hi all,first of all, iḿ not sure if this post is in correct list, but error appears using Alfresco from share (all users ar only using share, not alfresco explorer).What happens? well, it seems everything works ok, login, searches, upload, download, preview, workflows… but in a moment tomcat goes do

I just experienced the same thing… I believe the issues mrogers are referencing include:

… So basically, you can stop alfresco, update the fontbox and pdfbox files in tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/lib, and restart alfresco to fix. When I did this, using version 1.5.0, everything was fine.

mv pdfbox-1.2.1.jar pdfbox-1.2.1.jar.old

There are a couple other issues that seem to indicate that the bundled java version is the problem (_18 is the bundled version), but this fix seems to work with it.

Also, on another helpful forum post, someone linked a pdf that reliably causes the crash: http://www.polymtl.ca/webmestre/A2010.pdf … useful for testing whether you've resolved the issue or not.
