Hi,I have search through the forum and was unable to find the solution to this small problem I have. I am new to Alfresco.I assigned one of the default workflow (Review and Approve) to one of my colleague and added an item (a PDF document) for him to review and approve. Hello,

does your colleague have Consumer privileges on the document added to the workflow? If not, it is transparently filtered out and the field shows "empty" although it is not.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. You were right about the Consumer privilege. Now I just have to understand and create a few custom privileges for my team to test this software for suitability.
