It's the same behavior having the ldap configuration variables in the common alfresco-global.properties or in ldap-authentication.properties.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;My fault was, that I wrong interpreted the behavior of the property variables! I assumed, that the variables are taken to build the xml-configuration files, which later on are used to configure alfresco.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If so, I thought that I have to escape the special xml char &amp;amp; with \amp; which I used in my credential secret. But that was wrong. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Now all is running fine.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
