I tried this yesterday and it worked for me.

Thoughts:

* Did you use the RM 2.0.1 AMP downloadable from the 4.2.b download page? It's halfway down this page:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Community_file_list_4.2.b

* Even though the instructions said that installing RM 2.0.1 does not require the –force flag to be passed to MMT, I got a lot of errors if I didn't use the flag.

* Are you logged in as "admin" when you try to add the dashlet?

That is all I can think of. If your problem isn't solved by one of those three tips, the next step would be to look through the error logs.

* Did MMT generate any errors when you installed the AMP?

* Are any of your errors in your alfresco.log at startup related to Records Management?

* Does trying to list the dashlets generate any new errors in the alfresco.log?

Hello,

I have found the mistake… I have to use the -force attribute for the apply_amps.sh script execution, otherwise the share part of rm is not deployed.

I am having the same issue–The dashlet does not appear after restarting Alfresco. The installation went well.. alfresco.log file shows that the records management module is starting, but does not indicate completion as other items in the log do. Help would be appreciated.

Did you use the force flag when you applied the AMP?

If you did, and you still have a problem, then I recommend you start a new thread to get more visibility.

Can you check that both the repository and Share RM AMP's have been applied to the two WAR's respectively.

The missing dashlet could be indicative of the RM Share AMP not being applied correctly.
