Document Preview showed stale version of .doc

For about 1 hour after a new version was uploaded, a .doc file preview showed the old version. Here is the alfresco.log file (with a few repeated exceptions removed from the middle) from an hour before the document was uploaded, to after it "magically' resolved:09:31:13,102 INFO [org.alfresco.repo.

I'm seeing exactly the same issue in my Alfresco 3.4.d instance (x64 Ubuntu server). The one difference is that the "stale" version is always show to some users and never shown to other users - but with regards to the exception you listed from the log it's identical.

Can I ask did you discover more around the cause / resolve of the issue. I'm tempted to revert to backup, to see if this resolves the issue. FYI I have rebuilt my indexes without success.
