    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Has anyone successfully accessed, checked-out, edited files, and then checked them back in through Perl?&amp;nbsp; There doesn't seem any support for it in the documentation.&amp;nbsp; Is this even possible?&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I'm looking for a solution other than web scripts to access my web-based Alfresco repository.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;There was one post from several years ago asking a similar question, but I'm wondering if anything has changed since then.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I think it might be possible using SOAP through Perl.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Anyone out there have any tips on this?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You could use SOAP and take the Web Services approach.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You could also use the Atom Pub binding of CMIS to hit Alfresco in a restful way from Perl. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://ecmarchitect.com/archives/2009/11/23/1094" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;This&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; is a somewhat dated tutorial, but it shows how to hit Alfresco with cURL, so it should be obvious how you'd use Perl instead to do that.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I'd also add that the &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://chemistry.apache.org/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;Apache Chemistry&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; project has .NET, PHP, Python, and Java clients but lacks one for Perl. If you're feeling ambitious, why not create one?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Jeff&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
