In Eclipse make sure your charater set is UTF-8. There's a setting in the project properties.

Hi all!!!

now i've finally built the project succesfully and even run on tomcat. But in eclipse project there are still more than 100 errors of the type …cannot be resolved to a type. Strange everything seems have been compiled ok and works fine is it ok?

It may be that you are building an obsolete project, but without more details there's no way to help.

Thanks for reply. It certainly looks like an old version. While building the project i'm constantly getting deprecated method warnings. But i've downloaded it yersturday from http://svn.alfresco.com/repos/alfresco-open-mirror.

The build number i will see only in the evening when i get home

Yes there are deprecated warnings. You can ignore them.

I'm sorry for replying a relatively old post, but unfortunately I have the same problem and can't figure out how you resolved it. I just checkout revision 33365 of the alfresco public svn mirror (corresponding to alfresco 4.0.d). I am getting similar errors. Here is the complete list of my 6 errors:

I have checked out alfresco source in windows on my local system ans when building projects in eclipse with ant then following errors come —

Error occurred during initialization of VM [javac] Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit. [javac] Could not reserve enough space for object heap

Please help me asap…

Hello everybody i have too problem with installing my SDK into eclipse environement i followed the doc in wiki and i still have some problem, I imported SDK 4.2.C in eclipse and when i run the SDK_FirstFoundationClient as a java application this stack of exceptions appear :

Rsolved it was just a problem with my configuration file and before run the project you have to compile it with ANt
