Hi Folks,I know from version # 3.X to 4.X there are major changes in Alfresco Search.since 4.x onwards SOLR could be configured on separate Layer / Tier and as it uses (Open) CMIS & CMIS is another way to implement federated search.What we have multiple repositories in sync and Clustered too. T

Federated search for alfresco is I think still work in progress.

I don't think there is a connection between CMIS and search - could you elaborate.

There may well be tools out there that can search against a number of repositories and combine results.

Thanks Rogers for your quick answer.

Just correct me if I am wrong that Alfresco improved its CMIS and now onwards it only supports Open CMIS queries.

What I was refering a CMIS - Search relationship ,is as we have multiple repository in clustered mode and there are many content models deployed in different instances too so I have to go ahead with CMIS option only for getting the results from search.
