How to select text in WebPreviewer?

HiWhen we click a document in Share, another page opens (document-details) with a preview of this document in flash.By default, we can't select text (for copy/paste) in that preview, and I would like to know if this is possible and how ?Perhaps I should use another previewer, or use the default one

Hi fop6316,
You can not do text selection in Alfresco Share Web preview. And also there is no other previewer till now by which you can do it.
You say about copy/paste, you can use Online Editing for this. Or Edit offline them. Only these two options are available to you for editing a document.

For implementation your own web previewer, I can not give any advice because i also do not know that.

Hello,

Have you taken a look at the Media Viewers add on from the Share Extras project? I believe the pdf.js renderer used in that allows you to select text inline during the preview.

Hello,

I tried Media Viewers yesterday, it works fine with pdf files, but I have errors when it tries to convert .doc, .ppt etc.
I have to try again, and find why I have such errors.

EDIT : it's now working fine with office documents (I think I had to kill soffice process before running Alfresco), but I still have a problem with some pdf's.
These are opened like if they where empty and I can't see any error in log file. That's strange 😕
