You'll need a new JDK (i.e. version 6) which may not be supported on 10.4. You might be able to install a non-Apple JDK, or you'll have to upgrade to 10.5.

Thanks for the reply. The install/requirements instructions for Mac OS X should note this. (It already may and I may have overlooked it.)
It should note that you need 10.4 with Soylatte or 10.5 or later with Java 6 or later.
