Hi ,

we installed alfresco 3.4d community edition in my local machine.

We have flash/html base web application which is running on tomcat server (server installed default with alfresco bundle) .We stored all required contents/files in a folder and showing the contents in application with reference to folder path.

Now the plan is to import all these contents (html/flash/swf/ppt/docs …etc) into alfresco space. After review and approval process, we need to transfer all these approved contents to folder in web app where the front end application folder is in , so that the front end web application reffers the content as it is.

alfresco installation and target file system folder will be in the same machine and runs in same tomcat instantce.

As i am very new to the system , unable to figure out how can i do this.
Please tell me how can we do this ?

Thanks,
Hari

As per my understanding of your problem definition you have mentioned, WCM would be the best suitable option for you.

You can achieve the below functionality you require :
1. Bulk import the docs(ppt/images etc.) into user sandbox.
2. Submit the content to staging sandbox. You can configure the workflow to approve/reject the content, which will be applied when you submit the content.
3. Once the content is in staging sandbox, you can now deploy the content to File system receiver (FSR).
4. You need to configure the FSR while creating a web project in the Add deployment receiver step of web project creation.

And I believe this is what you are aiming to achieve.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
