Hi Johny,

X-Adapter or X-Scenario means that one OpenWorkdesk deployment can connect to two different ECM systems, e.g. IBM FileNet P8 and Alfresco. This feature enables users to work seamlessly across the boundaries of different ECM systems without compromising the look & feel.

This might be an important feature for:

1. companies that want to migrate their backend from one vendor to another. Users can execute federated searches that will search in BOTH backend systems and display the results in ONE result list. In the meanwhile, the documents can be migrated to the new ECM system - there is no downtime

2. companies that have two backend systems (e.g. one company acquired another company that has already a different system in place) => users can now access both repositories - there is no need to merge these two repositories
