I noticed that you mentioned that your 3.4 version did not have any AMPs installed, which implies that your 3.2 version did have AMPs installed. Perhaps you could try installing the AMP files (making sure to use the 3.4 or 4.0 versions of those amps, NOT the ones from the 3.2 version), and try again.
