Hello,I want to know what is the relationship between RM and Alfresco Repository. In particular,1) In RM, can I import files directly from the Alfresco Repository?2) If I import files in RM from the harddisk, can I see those files somewhere in the Alfresco Repository?Thank you in advance.

Hi,

The Alfresco Records Management AMP is an extension to the standard Alfresco repository. It is simply a Site that has a folder structure with security and retention schedules applied to it.

A record can be created within the site from another, non-RM area within the repository or from a file held on your hard drive. The location of the files in the repository is up to you.

I would suggest downloading the community version of Alfresco and trying the RM module out to get a feel for how it works with the rest of the repository.

Cheers,
Roy
