I've installed Alfresco on my local machine just to see what it can do. I need to create a portal for a client where his clients can upload tax documents. Obviously, no one should be able to see eachothers documents, only the administrator. Is there an ACL area where I can set up this type of scenario?

Thanks for replying. Is this done manually for everything or is there a way to make it more automated so that a client can create their own folder and the permissions for it are set automatically?

You can use Alfresco Share, where you can create a site for each of your clients to manage their documents.
Customization can be done to make it more automated.
