AlfrescoWeb Script Status 500-Internal Error

It runs on an inbuilt derby database.

It's difficult to tell from that log trace, but it would be a really good idea to migrate to a "proper" database; partly because Derby does not scale so well, but mostly because it will severely limit your ability to upgrade (we no longer support Derby).

We are planning to shift the database to mySQL. Is there anything else apart from this we can work out in order to tweak the performance?

The other issue people have with *nix-based operating systems is hitting an open file limit, but I would expect to see this in the log trace.

we did as you said and it works properly in mysql database but now we would like to convert the existing data available under derby database to mysql, Is there any possible way or a step by step procedure to convert data from derby to mysql database.

Hi,
I had previously mentioned that it works properly with mysql database but we found out that the issue was with the number of users getting invited into a specific site. The site was functioning properly with 30 to 40 invited users but as we kept increasing the users to 100 the site eventually slow down and again we received the 500 error.The issue is only with the user invitation and not due to a node or a space.Please is there any way to speed up the site?
Specifications.
1.5gb ram
30gb hard disk
Linux operation system
Alfresco 3.0 Stable with mysql database
Done the jvm tuning
"export JAVA_OPTS='-Xms512m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -server'"

I would look at increasing the server ram - 1.5gb really isn't that much for an enterprise java server supporting 100 users.

Increased the server ram to 3gb still no use.If two or more users try to access a single site at the same time we receive the 500 error again.
jvm tuning.
export JAVA_OPTS='-Xms1024m -Xmx2048m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -server'
