I initially installed Alfresco 3.2r2 on a Win2003 32 bit box and mapped a network drive on the same box to the \\hostA\alfresco CIFS directory. I used the default user "admin" with my initial setup password for the login. The CIFS mapping required no custom configuration and worked right after def

Same problem here!

CIFS works with Windows XP, 2003 but not with Vista or Windows 7!

(Alfresco 3.2)

I think you need a "Vista Business Edition" to have such functionalities.

It strongly resembles my problem, only I have it running on a W2003 server.
