Hello,I noticed in the wiki that there are some Index Validation and maintenance tools in the 3.1 release. Where can I locate these? We've run into some serious problems with Alfresco, and we think that part of the problem may lie in the indexes. I've checked with our Alfresco partner and he thinks

Hi,

If I well remember official marketing line, Enterprise version was a subset of stamped/enforced functions from Community work branch.

But this indexing maintenance tool was available in 3.1 Enterprise, is available in 3.2 Enterprise,
and I do not see it in 3.2 Community,

Does it means it has been voluntary excluded from Community stream ?

Please explain clearly/loudly this point.

The Enterprise products have certain tools and extensions that are only relevant to an Enterprise deployment. For example, support for Oracle and MS SQL Server; JMX-based toolset, etc.

I mostly agree with you (JMX/workflow are typically enterprise focused, no discussion).

Maintenance tools,
There is no reason to consider they should not be shared with community.
Except if community instances have to die after a certain time/load.

This is not really a "community" choice - not sure I can find analogy in some other open source projects,
Nevertheless, business is not democracy :?
