    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thanks for the reply.&amp;nbsp; Reconfiguring Eclipse didn't help.&amp;nbsp; Added&amp;nbsp; URIEncoding="UTF-8" to the 8080 connector but no joy there either.&amp;nbsp; DB is indeed UTF-8.&amp;nbsp; Also tried in /alfresco and it did the same thing once saved.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thanks.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

If you've built from HEAD, are you sure you compiled with UTF-8 on?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Also make sure you've got Tomcat configured to use UTF-8 URIs and double-check the database is actually using UTF-8.
