Hi

We need to integrate Alfresco with an existing J2EE web application (RHEL, MySQL, JBOSS)

We would like to develop a form into Alfresco for user to enter a record ID : the ID (pk) of records included in the J2EE webapp MySQL database.
When the form is submited in Alfresco, it should insert the URL of the Alfresco document in a specific MySQL table (associated with the J2EE webapp) associated with the record ID.
The aim is after that to open the Alfresco documents from the webapp (associated with a record) also from Alfresco of course.

Do you know how to develop that ? I am newbee with Alfresco

thank's

There's two options.

You can use alfresco as a key generator and store the key in your external application. Or you can generate a key in your external application and add it to a document within alfresco.

To do the first, store documents in Alfresco and store the "NodeRef" in your external application. You can use the NodeRef to act as a key and retrieve metadata and content from alfresco.

To do the second, add a custom property" to your documents within alfresco e.g. myRecordId which you can then use as a key to search from within your extenal application.
