Is anybody using alfresco with kofax ascent capture?Is there any release script for that?

Alfresco is listed as partner on the Kofax website and Alfresco lists Kofax as ISV partner, but I haven't been able to find out if there is a release script.

Release/import should be possible, but I haven't figured out how exactly. Perhaps packaging the image and index file as an Alfresco Content Package with a CTX script could do the trick.

It would be nice to have some kind of release script for the capture solution like kofax. It is a crucial piece where there is a requirement of imaging 5K docs/day.

I think things like release script for the capture solution gives alfresco broader exposure in EDMS space.

Great, this is the information I've been waiting for! With an Ascent release script Alfresco will be a very serious option for pretty much all our customers. Can't wait to get my hands on it…

Does anybody know where I can find more information about this? I installed the 1.4 preview release, but couldn't find anything in the help files. Is there a release script available? I would very much like to test it.

I must say I find the release strategy of Alfresco a bit confusing at best. First a press release in September, claiming that the release script would get put up on Alfresco Forge within the month, then more than a month later there's a 1.4 release listing "Kofax Integration â€“ Kofax release script support" among its features, and still the damned thing is nowhere to be seen :lol:. I suppose a small note on the 1.4 release notes for making it clear that the script was in fact NOT part of the release (yet) would have saved me (and possibly many others) a lot of time and hassle now wasted on having to find this out all on my own.

Nevertheless: Keep up the good work. You guys rock!
