When you say "file type", do you mean MIME type? I thought I saw a mention of how to add new MIME types in the Alfresco wiki: http://wiki.alfresco.com/

As for content type associated with ".sql" files, there are certainly a number of tutorials on creating new content types. Again, check the wiki.

I'm a newbie in Alfresco, and I'm still trying to do some basic stuff…so, I would like to make my custom data type (file type) for example .sql files, etc. and their custom meta data tags..is there any examples of it?
