topic Installation and startup in Alfresco Archive

I have previously tried to install the 3.3 package and it stopped at the MySQL port 3306 issue. I uninstalled everything including any copies of MySQL and then re-installed OK without problems. I used the start Alfresco and got the MySQL and tomcat command windows which seemed to go on at length. Then it said the server would start in 70000 milliseconds, but nothing happened. I used a port detector to see that 3306 and 8080 were not in use prior to this installation. When I attempt to log on (using Firefox http:\localhost:8080/Alfresco) it says Server not found. I am trying to do this with Windows 2003 Server. I would really like to get this running, I have maybe 6 months to establish a document management solution without spending much money. I checked Firefox internet properties and Direct access to the Internet is checked. I am not sure what changing that would do to our operations, so I could use some help. Thanks!

I just checked and a Vista computer with Seamonkey has Direct Access to Internet checked and that computer can access locahost… without any problems!
