Pointing Alfresco Repository to a NAS

Hi!I have been searching for ages for a guide on how to make alfresco store our documents on our new NAS.Is it possible?Lets say I make an new Alfresco install on an Windows or Debian server, what is the steps I need to taketo make sure Alfresco stores the documents I upload to it on our NAS?Please

simple drive mapping on you OS. point the Alfresco dir.root to the mapped drive folder. However do not expect to be able to find the files as on a simple file sharing system.

Hi! Thanks for the replay.
where do I find this "Alfresco dir.root " and how do I point it to our NAS?
No, I know file sharing dont work like that and that I need to use some options in Alfresco.

I just want to place our documents on a safer place than on the servers HDD. And I reckon
a raid nas with external tape-backup is pretty safe.

I really appreciate the help, because im a real alfresco newbie.

dir.root This is the location where the binary content and Lucene indexes are stored. It is relative by default, but should be pointed to a permanent, backed-up location for permanent data storage.
