Trust me - it's just as frustrating for us too. We're not all experts across the platform (it's much too big for that) so need to pick & choose what we answer.

Maybe some sort of tagging or categorisation could be introduced? We've already spoken about building on the points system, and a more formal "solved" flag - these are being considered.

I'm not that familiar with add-ons available for PHPBB3, but if anyone's got some suggestions, we're definitely listening.

Thanks,
Mike

I think we already have too many forums and have asked for an internal review. As long as people state clearly which version they are asking about, I see no need to further fragment the questions.

Your feedback is appreciated however.

Thanks,
Mike

Ok, Mike. Also can be reorganize the current design forums? It´s another idea.

Regards

Yes, I think a reorganisation makes sense.

Compare the English-language forums to the Spanish and French ones, which are much simpler.

Thanks,
Mike

One of the problems with the forums, is that many posts are in the wrong area and lack descriptive subjects. "How I use Alfresco" is mostly posts about someone asking for configuration or usage help, not about how someone has adopted Alfresco into their business. Searching the forums for an answer to a problem is sometimes near impossible. The answer on how to add a new rule may buried in the "Documentation", "Usability", or "How I use Alfresco" with only the subject of "Help with Alfresco".

There is a lot of great and valuable information here, but it's difficult to find that one bit of information needed at any given moment. I think this also leads to duplicate posts – people asking questions that were answered previously.

I am not trying to fault anyone, but it is just a challenge of having such an active forum.
