Problem with webdav

Hi Folks,i have an Win XP System and added a webdav connection to my Alfresco System.I can authenticate and browse through the folders.But, i cannot open an Document via webdav and doubleclick. Nothing happens.Is this normal or is this an error in my Alfresco configuration?thnakswebraccoon

Maybe it's just because you are logged in as guest (so to say automatic login with your domain user, which is not known by Alfresco).

I use a similar environment Windows XP and when connected straight to the http://<servername>:8080/alfresco/webdav using "My Network Places" wizard.
I am able to open any kind of document (.doc, txt etc.,), except for jpg (which complained).

However, to your point, some ideas -
1) I suggest removing the web folder and readding it.
2) Try from other machine or environment and see if you are encountering the same issue.
3) As another member suggested, it could be strongly because of the rights (permissions) you might have.
4) Try the same as an admin user and see if you are not able to open any file!
5) Is this happening for all kinds of files or only .doc? Are you getting any "Windows Sharepoint related error" for certain files?
