Seems to be a problem with file security. So executing everything as Administrator, Alfresco starts up. I am not sure, if I should install complete Alfresco as Administrator?

No reason why not. That MySQL error is quite common from doing a Google search - maybe someone over on the MySQL forums has a solution?

Thanks,
Mike

Hmm, couldn't find that Google hits, but it's fine for testing to go a administrator. Thanks for your help, so for others:

On Windows 2008 open console as administrator and start alf_start.bat from there to avoid any security related problems.
