    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi Andat,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Activiti has defined wait states (e.g. Human Task, async task….) on which execution stops.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;It means that process is physically executed until it reaches wait state. When the wait state is reached, the execution stops and the state is persisted into the DB.
