Hi Benny,

I wonder if it could be LDAP server? Is it still responding ok? Are the username and password credentials used for accessing the LDAP server still valid? Can you prove that the machine running Alfresco can ping/communicate with the LDAP server? Maybe silly questions, but just thinking it must be something environmental if you successfully removed every single remnant of Alfresco. I didn't see anything to do with LDAP in your log extracts, but it could be worth checking out if you have no other ideas.

Speaking of which, did you make sure that you actually deleted the Alfresco directory after you uninstalled it?

Do you still have any logs from a recent successful restart? If so, can you see what came immediately after these lines? For me, I see this:

14:16:55,859 INFO [org.springframework.extensions.webscripts.TemplateProcessorRegistry] Registered template processor freemarker for extension ftl
14:16:55,875 INFO [org.springframework.extensions.webscripts.ScriptProcessorRegistry] Registered script processor javascript for extension js
14:16:56,125 INFO [org.alfresco.repo.management.subsystems.ChildApplicationContextFactory] Starting 'wcm_deployment_receiver' subsystem, ID: [wcm_deployment_receiver, default]
14:16:56,156 INFO [org.alfresco.config.JndiPropertyPlaceholderConfigurer] Loading properties file from class path resource [alfresco/alfresco-shared.properties]
14:16:56,296 INFO [org.alfresco.repo.management.subsystems.ChildApplicationContextFactory] Startup of 'wcm_deployment_receiver' subsystem, ID: [wcm_deployment_receiver, default] complete
14:17:01,046 INFO [org.alfresco.util.OpenOfficeConnectionTester] The OpenOffice connection was re-established.
17:05:43,609 INFO [org.alfresco.repo.management.subsystems.ChildApplicationContextFactory] Stopping 'wcm_deployment_receiver' subsystem, ID: [wcm_deployment_receiver, default]
17:05:43,750 ERROR [org.alfresco.repo.management.subsystems.ChildApplicationContextFactory$ChildApplicationContext] Exception thrown from ApplicationListener handling ContextClosedEvent
‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍

Mmm… what else.. disk space - have logs stopped being output because there is no longer any room on the drive?

There is another phenomenon I have seen with applications that have a DOS console: if you have clicked and dragged on the DOS console, as you do to select text, the process is paused! Release the process by right clicking on the DOS console.
