    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;BLOCKQUOTE class="jive-quote"&gt;Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I was wondering if there would be any repercussions from removing the default groups in my installation of Alfresco ( GROUP_ALFRESCO_ADMINISTRATORS and GROUP_EMAIL_CONTRIBUTORS ).&amp;nbsp; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I see that the admin group can be found in authority-services-context.xml and after ommitting the group from the list of adminGroups, the users in this group lose the admin rights.&amp;nbsp; Is this the only effect of removing this group?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As for the EMAIL_CONTRIBUTORS, I haven't been able to find the config file that assigns any sort of privileges but I am unsure if deleting it will bring any sort of repercussions I don't know about.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would greatly appreciate it if someone could fill me in or point me to the right direction.&amp;nbsp; Thank you.&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;EMAIL_CONTRIBUTORS group is solely used to determine which users are allowed to send mails to a node in alfresco, in other words if you're not planning on using the inbound mail feature of Alfresco, then deleting it shouldn't cause a problem.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
