I was able to reference 3.2 Community Jars in my Maven build. My blog detailing the approach I followed:

Dependencies for version 3.2 are not available in the repository. May be you are using version 3.0Stable.

I am using this as one of our dependencies:

http://repository.sourcesense.com/nexus/content/repositories/thirdparty/org/alfresco/alfresco-core/3.2/

And the version number clearly says 3.2. As said before, the repository configuration is described in this post:
