DatePicker in create-site form

I attached a site aspect with a property of type date. I'd like to add some convenience to the create site dialog defined in create-site.get.html.ftl. Can I use the form control date.ftl for entering the date aspect? Some examples?Best Regards,Jacob

Unfortunately that dialog doesn't use the Forms service yet - there's a plan to migrate them all, but naturally this will take some time. In the meantime, you'll have to extract the code that the date control uses and add that to the dialog yourself.

thx a lot! but I think this will end up complex. I suppose I've to add the hole stuff the form widgets commons usually manages. am I right?

Not really - you just need to add a YUI Calendar control: http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/calendar/

Hello Mike,

I've already asked the same question in one of my earlier post.
It would be great help if you can tell that how would I open the create event popup by calling any ajax url.

I tried calling ajax get with following url but this doesn't open popup at all.
http://localhost:8080/share/page/site/swsdp/calendar?date=2013-12-18

Also if I click on the event name from My Activities dashlet, it lends me to calender page but it is not opening the event popup at the same time.
