    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Creating custom roles is not the easiest thing to grasp in the beginning.&amp;nbsp; I'm not 100% clear on what exactly your needs are but in my opinion the default roles that alfresco gives you usually can be utilized to meet your needs.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Have you had a chance to examine those?&amp;nbsp; If you are hesitant to write custom roles have a look at &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://webunit.cs.athabascau.ca/projects/cms_selection/alfresco/DefaultUserRolesInAlfresco" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://webunit.cs.athabascau.ca/projects/cms_selection/alfresco/DefaultUserRolesInAlfresco&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; and see if you can make the default ones work for you. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Also there is no method of modifying roles in explorer (JSF client)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
