Why does Alfresco Share only work when using HTTPS?

Hey,i use Alfresco Share 3r2 and everything was working seemless. It was on a VM and the Host the VM was on locked up and had to be rebooted. When the host came back up and the Alfresco server turned back on, I could only access it through SSL using HTTPS. Before it rebooted, i was able to use HT

What about access from the VM itself? Sounds like a firewall issue maybe?

Actually,

When the VM rebooted it didn't save the IPTABLE setup I had that forwarded port 80 requests to port 8080. I redid the IPTABLES and wrote a script to save it this time. Thanks for the response though!!
