Office documents preview error

Hi,I cannot see a preview of MS Office-type documents in Alfresco share (PDF files preview works), the following message shows up on the screen:"preview cannot be loaded from server"My server is Ubuntu server 10.04 and the following packages have been installed:xvfbopenoffice.org-headlessopenoffice.

Hi,
Check out if you have this packages installed: openoffice.org-core, openoffice.org-java-common, openoffice.org-writer, openoffice.org-impress, openoffice.org-calc.
Then check out in alfresco-global.properties, you should see this

# External locations
#————-
ooo.exe=/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice
ooo.enabled=true
img.root=/usr
swf.exe=/usr/bin/pdf2swf‍‍‍‍‍‍

If not, change to it.
FInally type in a terminal

~# /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice "-accept=socket,host=localhost,port=8100;urp;StarOffice.ServiceManager" -nologo -headless -nofirststartwizard &‍

Thanks, the problem was on Openoffice startup,
I had to start it manually using

# /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice "-accept=socket,host=localhost,port=8100;urp;StarOffice.ServiceManager" -nologo -headless -nofirststartwizard &‍

It works now, but it's quite strange it does not correctly starts on Alfresco startup…
it was automatically started like this :

/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin -accept=socket,host=localhost,port=8100;urp;StarOffice.ServiceManager -env:UserInstallation=file:///media/alf_data_shared/alf_data/oouser -nologo -headless -nofirststartwizard -nocrashrep -norestore‍
