Alfresco Share not starting

Hi,I have done a custom install from the fullinstall.exe for Community Edition on a windows 2003 Machine. I have Open Office and mysql already installed on the machine. When i start Tomcat Explorer comes up fine but share gives the following Error on the browser:CAn you please help me find a solutio

I have the same problem, but I can´t resolve it. If you done, please post here the solution. The diference between instalation, is that I done the full instalation too, and was working normally. After I make some changes for access using WWW, stoped to work. By the way, do you know how to configure it ? I'm using IIS 6.0 and Tomcat 6.0 and I can not integrate them.

I have had the same issue on Centos 5.3 with both a full install and also the tomcat bundle. Everything else looks fine, but share does not work.

The issue for me was that I had changed Alfresco to another port than the default (8080). Changing the port in $ALFRESCO_HOME/tomcat/conf/server.xml works for Alfresco, but does not work for Share. When I changed the port back to 8080 everything including Share worked correctly.

Yeah, that usually means the alfresco webapp hasn't been started or it's changed ports (like you found out). There is a way to change ports that alfresco runs on if you search the wiki/google.

if you change the port settings to 80 you can log on to alfresco explorer without using any port number in the url, but share wont work.
for test purposes you should try using port 8080 to see if you get share working on this port.

You need to tell Share where the Alfresco application has moved to.

Shutdown Tomcat.

Look in Share's WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/web-extensions folder for a file called webscript-framework-config-custom.xml.sample

Copy this file to <TOMCAT_ROOT>/shared/classes/alfresco/web-extension removing the ".sample" part from the file.

Edit this file so that the <endpoint-url>s are correct for your deployment.

Restart Tomcat
