topic Copy sites between 3.2r and 3.3 with ACP in Alfresco Archive

Hi

I was running into problems migrating one alfresco instance from 3.2r to 3.3, so I thought I could just export the data and then start from scratch on a new Alfresco. However, between those versions, the contentmodel changed the way thumbnails are handled, and I had to write a script to remove all the "thumbnails" occurences form the XML in the ACP.

I finally was able to import the data back in the new 3.3 instance, but no user, even the admin, can see the imported sites. Is there a easy way to just reassign rights for the admin so I could have someone do the rest of the groups by hand ?

Thanks

Boutch

The easiest way to get the content into a new instance is to create the Site on the new server with the same name, then import the content. That ensures the correctly-named groups and AVM store data is correctly populated.

Thanks,
Mike
