Hi again,
I looked more closely, and here is what I found:
Each time I invoke the diagram editor (= Activiti Designer) the badly missing *.activiti file
is created in a completely different directory from where he ought to be.

He is here:
src/main/resources/diagrams
when I manually copy him to the src\main\process\org.activiti.examples.<xxx> directory and
invoke the diagram editor again, everything is allright !

How does he (the *.activiti file) get there in the first place ?

Would that not be a fairly quick fix for activiti designer patch-release ?

Hi,

In the current release we expect the bpmn20.xml file to be in the src/main/resources/diagrams directory.
But you are absolutely right that your use case should be supported as well.
I'll see if I can fix this easily.
